Reigning Star Sports & TRC Greyhound Derby champion Deerjet Sydney has been drawn in trap two for the 2021 final, which takes place at Towcester Greyhound Stadium on Saturday night.

Pat Buckley's superstar is looking to emulate the mighty Rapid Ranger and Westmead Hawk who have won back-to-back renewals of the marquee event in the sport of greyhounds and Deerjet Sydney will don the blue jacket on Saturday for the 500m showpiece.

Memories of his 2020 victory at Nottingham in the Derby will come flooding back for connections as he won from trap two in last year's event, but this year's task will be extremely tough as he will be taking on five magnificent four-bend performers.

With the Irish dominating the line-up it's Graham Holland's Newinn Session that has been drawn in trap one, and having excelled from the inside box in his semi-final win then he will be looking to replicate that success.

Ballymac Fairone served up Deerjet Sydney's first defeat in the competition last weekend and has been drawn in trap three, and he will be looking to ping the lids from the white jacket and push his way to the front.

Outsider of the sextet Kilara Lion will be a huge price for Saturday's final and will have a tough ask from trap four, while Ballymac Wild is the fifth railer taking his chance, and he will have the burden of trap five.

Sole wide runner Thorn Falcon will be aiming to win the prize for the British contingent, and Patrick Janssens' dog was always going to be housed in six for the final, and the strong-running performer adds significant intrigue to a mighty final.
