A mouth-watering eight third round heats of the Greyhound Derby will take place at Nottingham on Friday night, as the remaining 47 runners are whittled down to 24, who will all go through to next weekend's quarter-finals.

The likes of Dorotas Wildcat and Skywalker Logan are red-hot favourites for their respective eliminators, but we look elsewhere for some potential value plays, and have found two runners priced at odds-against who can claim victory.

8:44pm Nottingham - Third Round Heat 6

Liz McNair's QUEEN BEYONCE has shown blistering early pace (4.99, 5.04secs sectionals) in the competition already, and she will look for a third win on the bounce in the sixth heat on Friday night at 8:44pm.  She can fire clear of Wildfire Jimmy on her inside from the traps, and if she can hold a prominent position through the first half of the race then she can scoot clear in the closing stages to claim this contest with aplomb and maintain her unbeaten record.

8:59pm Nottingham - Third Round Heat 7

One of the most competitive heats on Friday night is heat seven with King Sheeran and Ballymac Tas currently heading the betting, but that pair may have to settle for the minor honours with the attractively-priced Antigua Sands looking the value play.  Beaten by Sporting Dave and Dorotas Wildcat in the first two rounds, ANTIGUA SANDS has shown terrific all-round pace, and if she can sit prominently early on then she can show excellent back-straight pace before soaring to the front up the run-in and claim the victory.
