Fresh from a sparkling win in the Produce Stakes at Swindon, KING SHEERAN now bids for glory in the Ladbrokes Gold Cup, which has reached its semi-final stage at Monmore, and if the Liz McNair-trained star can continue his fine form then he can bound to victory in the 480m showpiece.

A semi-finalist in the Star Sports, ARC & LPS Greyhound Derby at Nottingham earlier in the year, the exciting four-bend performer then dominated the Produce at Swindon, but he did kick off this competition with a defeat in the first round of the Gold Cup.

However, he managed to qualify for Saturday's semi-finals, and having been given trap six in the first semi-final then he can safely outclass his rivals to book a place in the final on August 17, and McNair's class act can maintain that dominant form by claiming outright glory for the kennel that won the race 12 months ago with King Turbo, who is second favourite for the event this year.
